I animated the stop motion looped sequence of a faceless sheep jumping over a fence for award winning live action sci-fi short film Synthetica, directed by Alex Falconer. The film is set 30 years into the future where people live in a city run on communal efficiency and productivity by a mysterious corporation. Synthetica was screened at the 2016 BFI Future Film Festival where it received a nomination for Best Producer and was nominated for Best Student Drama at the Royal Television Society Awards.
The sheep animation sequence was played repeatedly on TV screens throughout the film. I designed the puppet and set to be consistent with the style of the film, before building and then animating them.
